Research Goals

Research activities are in all fields of communications engineering. Amount of annual research grants from the Government, industry, and various research organizations usually exceeds NT$200 million dollars. Besides being active in the domestic research community, faculty members of the institute are also involved in many international activities, serving as editors of prestigious journals and hosting international conferences. Many of them have won international recognition through their outstanding research and services. Current research subjects in the institute are in four areas: (i) communication science and systems, (ii) microwave and antennas, (iii) network communications, (iv) multimedia signal processing and communications.
